Prof. Dr J.G.J.H. (Jan) Schols (08-03-1959) studied Dentistry at the University of Nijmegen from 1977 – 1982 and started working as a general practitioner in Voerde (Germany).
After his postgraduate training in Orthodontics (1983 - 1987), he obtained a PhD degree in Medical Sciences at the University of Nijmegen in June 1988.
He continued working as a part-time faculty member at the Department of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Biology at the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen and at the Catholic University of Leuven, and combined this with a private orthodontic practice in Waalwijk until December 2014.
Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Biology of the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen.
