Experimental medical parasitology

Benjamin Mordmüller's research group discusses, develops and uses human challenge models to investigate infection, pathophysiology and transmission of infectious agents with the aim to improve medical interventions.

Experimental virology

Ronald van Rij's research group studies arbovirus-host interactions in both mosquito vector and human host. In addition, we study host defense functions of small non-coding RNAs.

Outbreaks and crises in primary and community care

Aura Timen's research group aims to deepen the understanding of challenges during outbreaks and crises and advance conceptual development and testing of new models and solutions, from an integrated, multi and interdisciplinary perspective.
