Experimental medical parasitology

Benjamin Mordmüller's research group discusses, develops and uses human challenge models to investigate infection, pathophysiology and transmission of infectious agents with the aim to improve medical interventions.

Experimental virology

Ronald van Rij's research group studies arbovirus-host interactions in both mosquito vector and human host. In addition, we study host defense functions of small non-coding RNAs.

Vector biology

Felix Hol's research group leverages biophysical, engineering, and computational approaches to understand the (neuro)biology of mosquito behaviors that are relevant for pathogen transmission.
