Clinical genetics of intellectual disability

Bert de Vries's research group focuses on the identification of novel genes involved in neurodevelopmental disorders such as intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder, and the clinical characterization of those novel genetic syndromes.

Computational psychiatry

André Marquand's research group develops analytical tools based on machine learning for the analysis of biomedical data, including neuroimaging, passive smartphone monitoring and environmental data.

Developmental neuroscience

Rogier Kievit's research group uses quantitative approaches to study how, and why, cognitive abilities change across the lifespan, and how cognitive functioning interacts with the brain, physical and mental health, social and intellectual engagement and environmental factors.
