Our purpose

We aim to create synergy in the collaboration of scientific research groups that promote well-being through the study of sex and gender-specific impact on health and disease.

Benign gynecology

Kirsten Kluivers's research group focuses on complex benign conditions, in particular on pelvic floor problems, endometriosis, fertility (fertility preservation and male infertility) and congenital gynecological problems.

Experimental reumatology

Peter van der Kraan's research group works on the discovery and validation of new disease targets, elucidating the role of cellular communication, the immune system and pain mechanisms to develop innovative diagnosing and endotyping methods and effective treatments.

Gender in primary and transmural care

Sabine Oertelt-Priogione's research group focuses on the integrating sex and gender dimensions into research, clinical care and teaching.
