Goals

To achieve our main purpose, we will:

  • Prioritize improved governance, financing, and delivery approaches to make orofacial health systems more equitable, prevention-oriented, safe, efficient, and sustainable, and to improve integrated care delivery for oral-general health.
  • Tailor clinical diagnostic and preventive strategies, optimize treatment decision-making and monitor quality of care in orofacial healthcare. With the aid of artificial intelligence, we will promote value-based orofacial healthcare, preventing overtreatment while maintaining oral health.
  • Develop minimally invasive reconstructive, surgical, orthodontic and regenerative treatment approaches, including the design of smart biomaterials, to accelerate clinical translation of biomaterial-based therapies using advanced ex-vivo/in-vitro model systems.
  • Equip a cohort of orofacial health researchers and orofacial health professionals with skills to shape and deliver the orofacial healthcare of the future.
