  • To promote the systematic uptake of proven innovative care into routine practice, policy and guidelines (implementation science).
  • To ensure that insights obtained from research findings in the above two domains are translated into educational programs (educational research).
  • To extend methodology on efficient research design and data collection related to all the above domains.

Molecular microbiology

Willem Melchers's research group aims is to prevent, diagnose and treat infectious diseases. This group provides insight into the progressive behavior of cervical lesions and HPV infections to prevent cervical cancer and focus on the molecular mechanisms of azole resistance in Aspergillus.
