Dick Thijssen's research group uses innovative ultrasound-based technology to examine the role of hemodynamic forces to improve the understanding of the working mechanisms of the heart and blood vessels.

Exercise physiology

Thijs Eijsvogels's research group focuses on the cardiovascular health benefits and potential deleterious effects of exercise across the whole physical activity spectrum: from patients with a sedentary lifestyle to lifelong athletes.
