Research groups contributing to this research program

Infection and immunity

Marien de Jonge's research group conducts research on mucosal immunity in the respiratory tract and aims to unravel host-pathogen interactions to improve diagnosis and protection against airway infections.

Molecular hematology and glycobiology

Anna Marneth's research group aims to increase the understanding of glycosylation in blood cell development. Their goal is to exploit this knowledge for therapeutic benefit in blood cancers and bleeding disorders.

Molecular hemato-oncology

Bert van der Reijden's research group studies the pathobiology of leukemia and bleeding disorders. Epigenetic processes are examined to identify new targets for precision medicine. Small molecules targeting chromatin factors are being developed to cure the disease.
