Research Research groups Medical neuroscience for neurodevelopmental disorders

About

We aim to understand the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders. We use a multi‐level strategy that combines functional genomics and molecular & cellular neurobiological approaches, such as the generation and characterization of iPSC-derived human neural cells and mouse models.

Aims

  1. Understand the synaptic basis of network dysfunction in neurodevelopmental disorders.
  2. Develop novel human stem cell based models systems to study neurodevelopmental disorders, using engeneered 2D and 3D brain organoid models.
  3. integrate fundamental neurobiological research with clinical applications and personalized medicine.
