About Paul Span
Paul Span is associate professor at the Radiotherapy & OncoImmunology laboratory at the department of Radiation Oncology. He is head of the Radioresistance group; his research focuses on radioresistance mechanisms, ranging from the tumor microenvironment (hypoxia, autophagy, metabolism, physics) to endocrine treatment (tamoxifen) and anti-viral responses (type I interferon, APOBEC). He is vice-chair of the Women's Cancers Research theme of the Radboudumc, and chair of the PathoBiology Group (PBG) of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC).
