Kees Kramers (Dirksland, 1962) earned his Master of Medicine degree in 1986 from Leiden University. From 1989 to 1996, he completed his training as an internist, and from 1996 to 1998, he trained as an internist-clinical pharmacologist, both at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc). In 1995, he obtained his PhD from Radboud University on research into antibodies involved in kidney failure in the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus.Kramers has worked at Radboudumc since 1989 as a staff member of the Department of Pharmacology-Toxicology, and since 1998, he has also been a staff member of the Department of Internal Medicine, with responsibilities in patient care, education, and research. Since 2010, he has been working part-time at the Clinical Pharmacy Department of Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital (CWZ) in Nijmegen. He developed a pharmacotherapy curriculum for medical students and educational programs on medication safety for junior residents at Radboudumc and CWZ Nijmegen. From 2016 to 2023, he served as chair of the Dutch Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Biopharmacy.
