About Hans de Wilt

Prof. dr. Hans de Wilt is an accomplished surgical oncologist and has an (inter)national reputation for his contributions in the areas of clinical service and research. His research interests are advanced colorectal cancer, perfusion techniques, breast cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma and he has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is principal investigator of several multicenter clinical trials funded by the Dutch Cancer Society.

Hans de Wilt completed his PhD and surgical training at the Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam. He was funded to work as a clinical research fellow of Surgical Oncology during this fellowship at the Sydney Melanoma Unit, Sydney, Australia. From 2001 he was working as a staff surgeon at the Department of Surgical Oncology, Erasmus Medical Center, Daniel den Hoed Cancer Center, Rotterdam. In June 2009 he started as the Division Head and Professor of Surgical Oncology at the Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands.
