Working on the care (region) of the future

Radboudumc and Rijnstate have similar ambitions with regard to realizing social impact, including through research and innovation. Besides providing high-quality care to today's patients, we both feel responsible for solving the issues of tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

We see various complex (social) issues, including in the areas of labor market and prevention. We are convinced that together we are more able to find answers to these issues, and better at applying them.

In addition, there are developments, such as digitalization and concentration of care, where by working together, we can take bigger steps.

Shaping the care (region) of the future

By combining our knowledge, expertise, and capacities, we are able to follow these developments and lead the way. By combining our innovative power and strength, together we can take the lead in the development of future-proof care in our region: affordable, accessible, and of high quality. In this, we as a region can be an example to others.

Our common ambition is to solve the (social) issues of tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and to shape the healthcare (region) of the future. This way we can increase our social impact in line with the mission and vision of both houses. We thus offer a beckoning perspective that invites internal and external parties to join us in moving forward.

Collaboration agenda

We have identified a number of issues that form an initial collaborative agenda, in order to fulfill our ambition to realize the healthcare (region) of the future:

  • Labor market and training
  • Sustainability
  • AI and digital transformation
  • Concentration of care
  • Scientific research

For these five collaboration themes, we explore short- and long-term collaboration, focusing on patient care, education, and research.
