Queen Máxima paid a virtual working visit to MITeC at Radboudumc on January 28th 2021. In November 2015, she opened the three innovative operation rooms of MITeC. Queen Máxima wanted to come back to hear and see what was done and accomplished the last years.

Prof. Maroeska Rovers PhD, Prof. Jurgen Fütterer PhD and Frank Nijsen PhD updated her on 28 January about the last five years. What were the goals in 2015 and are these goals still applicable for the coming years? Frank Nijsen PhD explained the Holmium project in which patients with untreatable liver tumors are treated with radio embolization. Queen Máxima and Frank talked about one of the first patients within the MITeC project, who lived longer and had a better quality of life as a result of the treatment.
