12 February 2021

NWO appointed a Permanent Committee (PC) to monitor the 2025 Vision for Science of the Dutch government and set up a national Large-Scale Scientific Infrastructure. The PC consists of twelve members representing various scientific disciplines in the Netherlands. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the PC-GWI formulated a strategy plan for investments in large-scale research facilities in the Netherlands, the so-called framework Landscape Large-Scale Scientific Infrastructure (GWI).

The PC-GWI is mapping out all national large-scale research facilities, resources, and services that have a free access policy for research communities, education, or public services. It is also essential that the facilities are vitally important for the national development of science and are used to conduct and stimulate innovation across disciplines.

We are proud to share that PC-GWI recognizes MITeC as large-scale research facility. As a result, MITeC is eligible for inclusion in the National Roadmap 2020-2024. All facilities included in the framework are published on this website.

The purpose of this database is to give researchers an overview of available facilities, resources, and services in the Netherlands, which can be used to explore potential partnerships and collaborations.

Please contact us if you are interested in MITeC facilities or services.
