In this role I take over most of Nicolai Giling’s tasks for the old/current departments but working to make the transition to BMS. In the past weeks I got to know many of you, but for all the others a short introduction.
I started at Radboudumc at the end of 2015 as managing director in the Cognitive Neuroscience department. I am a business administrator by training and after working for a number of years in the chemical sector, I was able to stand at the cradle of the Donders Institute. This sparked my interest in research and especially how we should organize research in a future-proof manner. For me, team science and increasing the impact of research are very important. Of course, with an eye for the researchers and all people who play a supporting role. In this context, I have been project leader of Radboudumc’s Scientific Career Path and projects on research funding and RTCs. My role at BMS will be part-time. I will continue my role as managing director of Cognitive Neuroscience and till the end of the year I will continue co-heading RTC Clinical Studies.
I live in Doorwerth, a small town in the woods west of Arnhem. We have two sons. Our oldest studying in Twente and our youngest working in London. Both moved out during the Corona period. To tackle the 'empty nest syndrome' we have a dog, a cat and mountain bikes.
In our building, I have an office at the top floor, next to Pont A. Do not hesitate to drop by for a chat and a cup of coffee. If I am not in meetings, the door will be open and coffee machine and roof top terrace are close by….
Looking forward to meet you all!
