Following the second 2023 EIC Accelerator cut-off in March, Thirona is awarded to receive European Innovation Council (EIC) funding. Among the 51 selected companies, 30% have a female CEO or women in executive leadership positions.
Thirona is a global company specialized in advanced analysis of thoracic CT images with artificial intelligence. With its AI-based LungQ™ platform Thirona develops solutions contributing to development of innovations for screening, diagnostics, and personalized patient treatment for lung diseases, in partnership with pharmaceutical, med-tech and clinical care integration companies.
Following a highly competitive process based on 551 submissions, Thirona is one of 51 innovative technology companies awarded the EIC Accelerator grant. 15 out of the selected companies have a female CEO, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) or CSO (Chief Scientific Officer).
