On 27 June, Marieke de Visser, policy advisor at Radboud Institute for Health Sciences, received the Radboudpluim from Dean/Vice President of the Board of Governors, Jan Smit, during the off-site of the new Research Institute. Marieke was awarded the plume because of her great involvement and commitment to new developments in scientific research.

As an advocate of good employment practices for PhD candidates, Marieke played an important role in the revision of the Radboud University's PhD rules and regulations, the training regulations and the university-wide introduction of Hora Finita as a PhD registration system.
