Joram Sjoerts has been appointed to the new position of director of Knowledge Strategy of the Radboudumc Research Institute for Medical Innovation as of January 1, 2025. Joram has worked at Radboudumc since 2009 and from 2019 as director of the Valorization Department and Radboudumc Holding. In this position he made an important contribution to the strengthening of our innovation ecosystem and the valorization of our scientific knowledge.
Joram's appointment means an expansion of the management of the Radboudumc Research Institute for Medical Innovation, aimed at further developing Radboudumc's knowledge and bridging the gap between science, care and society. As director of Knowledge Strategy, Joram will work to build strong connections with external public and private partners at local, national and international levels to drive healthcare innovations. He will do this in collaboration with in-house partners such as the strategy department and the Health Innovation Labs. With his strategic outlook, Joram will ensure that scientific knowledge is actually translated into concrete innovations for healthcare.
Joram Sjoerts (1975) holds a master's degree in International Business (Maastricht University) and has built up broad expertise in strategy formation, business development and promoting public-private partnerships. With his broad experience, strategic vision and strong communication skills, Joram is the right person to fill the role of Director of Knowledge Strategy.
