Mark Janssen member of the Executive Board of Radboud university medical center from 15 March 2020

Loek Hermans, president the Board of the Stichting Katholieke Universiteit: “We are very pleased to welcome Mark Janssen. As CFO of a specialized clinical hospital, he is well-acquainted with academic centers and familiar with network collaboration.”
Mark Janssen says the following about his appointment: “I am really looking forward to making a contribution to the ambitions of Radboudumc. The commitment to research, education, and healthcare at Radboudumc, the ambition to actually be the most person-oriented and innovative UMC, and the importance of networking: it really resonates with me, and it aligns with my vision of futureproof healthcare.”
The Executive Board of Radboudumc is also pleased with the appointment of Mark Janssen. Bertine Lahuis, member of the Executive Board and, from 1 January 2020, chair: “We are looking forward to working with Mark Janssen. His wide-ranging experience in healthcare, finance, regional collaborations and his broad networks are very welcome. We also feel that we have found a very pleasant colleague in Mark, who will complement our team well in our efforts to deal with future challenges and plans as a leading UMC.”
Mark Janssen (1967) has been a member of the Executive Board of the Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland, a specialized clinical hospital in the Rijnmond region, since 2014. He is CFO and his portfolio includes ICT, healthcare sales, and a part of the healthcare portfolio. Previously, he was the chair of the Executive Board of the Zonnehuisgroep Vlaardingen and chair/member of the Executive Board of the national Zonnehuisgroep. He studied Business Economics and Business Administration.
From 15 March, the Executive Board will consist of Dr. Bertine Lahuis (chair), Professor Jan Smit (dean/vice chair), and Mark Janssen (CFO). The procedure for appointing a fourth member of the Executive Board will be initiated at the start of the new year.
