Leon van Halder deceased

The Executive Board, the Supervisory Board and the staff of Radboud university medical center are deeply affected by Leon van Halder's death. Although we knew he was very ill, this sad news came sooner than any of us had expected. We wish to extend our sincere condolences to his wife, his daughters and his other loved ones, and wish them strength in these difficult times.
Leon van Halder (1955) had been Chairman of Radboud university medical center since April 2015. Under his inspirational leadership, Radboud university medical center continued to develop as a frontrunner in the healthcare of the future, based on the guiding principles of person-centered care, innovation and collaborative networks.
We are deeply saddened to hear that Leon van Halder has passed away on the 27th of March. Until recently, he was Chairman of the Executive Board of Radboud university medical center. Only a few weeks ago, he stepped down from this position because of his illness.
