Meet the Expert: How to prepare for your PhD defense

You are nearing the end of your PhD track. The defense is approaching. Are you looking forward to it or are you dreading it? Are you afraid you will get questions you won’t be able to answer?

In this Meet the Expert session, Marieke de Visser, coordinator Radboudumc Graduate School, will update you on the guidelines and regulations needed for the final part of your PhD and your defense to make you optimally prepared.

Next, Caro Struijke, senior lecturer at Radboud in’to Languages, will lead a workshop in which we address what to expect during the defense, how to prepare, how to answer any challenging questions, how to feel in control, and how to turn the defense in something you will actually enjoy. Attention will also be paid to preparing the lay talk.
